I grew up in a large family, the eldest of 9 children. My parents are from the Dominican Republic, and although I was raised in the States, my upbringing was based in the Dominican/Hispanic culture. My love for photography began during my eight years of teaching elementary school (where I was given the nickname "Mistuh Will"). I began to experiment as I took pictures of the children, and found that I had a true talent at capturing the essence of their personalities. I set out to learn everything I could about this new toy, my camera. Couple that with the beauty of people I saw through the lens and I was hooked. Photography was the perfect medium for me to channel and feed my technical and artistic sides. So what started out innocently enough soon took on a life of its’ own. I couldn't get enough of photography. I researched photography, attended workshops, and read everything I could get my hands on. Parents and co-workers took notice and I started my own business of family photography. I haven't looked back since! I have traveled for on-location work to many places along the east coast of the United States, as well as to shoots in Dominican Republic, London, Italy, Croatia, and Spain.

I've expanded my vision to include editorial photoshoots for companies such as PeezyWear, the Atlanta Braves, and Eve Khan - jewelry based in London. I also have a collection of landscape and wildlife photography taken on my travels to Europe, Asia and Africa. I look forward to many more opportunities in photojournalism. I am a member of the NPPA (National Press Photographers Association) and have been nominated for several awards including the 2007 Upcoming Photographer of the Year by the World Congress Center.

I love to be able to tell a story through an image. I am constantly astounded at the beauty, life and meaning that can be captured in a single photo. My approach is simple and honest and full of energy and passion for my work.
